Christmas tree decorating tips and tricks

We believe that nothing makes Christmas feel more festive than a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, with the twinkling lights, perfectly placed baubles and of course the pile of presents set underneath.

We have come up with some great Christmas tree hacks that will make your life easier when it comes to setting up your Christmas tree.

– When you have put your tree up, rearrange the branches to try and make it look as full as possible them look at it from all angles to decide which is going to be the front of your tree, this will make sure that when you decorate you know where the key focus will be.

– Turning on the Christmas tree lights before putting them on the tree is the best way for you to see how they look on the tree. We suggest starting from the top of the tree and working your way down as its easy to then rearrange if need be, also if you run out of lights and need more it’s easier to add the second lot on from the first set.

– If you have more than one of the same baubles we suggest putting them on first, that way you can make sure they are spaced out evenly.

– If you are having multiple coloured decorations on your tree, for example, red and gold, by putting all the red ones on first you can make sure that they are separated enough and then you can fill in the gaps with the gold.

– Add height to your tree by sitting it on a sturdy box and then cover with a fabric tree skirt or even a throw, making your tree taller not only makes it look a whole lot bigger but it means it’s easier to get the presents underneath.
