Jobs for July

July is here! July tends to be the hottest month so make sure that your plants are well watered, and you wear sun cream whilst gardening to prevent sun burn! But most importantly enjoy your garden in the sun before it starts getting colder. Jobs for July: • Deadhead flowers to encourage continuous flowering • Trim conifer hedges • Lift new potatoes • Start harvesting raspberries and fruiting currants • Pick any dry herbs such as sage, rosemary and thyme • Sow autumn and winter salads • Don’t forget to ask your neighbour to water your garden for you whilst you go on holiday!
