Lothario' bears attractive yellow flowers with vivid orange-scarlet cups. Its shorter height makes it ideal for the front of the border and containers. It can tolerate most soils that are well-drained but moist during the growing season. Plant bulbs at one and half times their own depth in sun or partial shade. Daffodils will sometimes fail to flower. Common causes are bulbs being planted too shallowly, damage to the foliage the previous season, and clumps becoming too congested.
