Description

Details

Developing a deserved reputation as the sweetest beet given its high sugar levels, the roots of this variety are bursting with flavour and can be picked as either baby or mature beets. Seedlings appear within 7-21 days of planting and if continuous crops are desirable sow every 2-3 weeks.

Root vegetables boast a host of colours and flavours and include carrots, radish, horseradish, sweet potato, turnip and beetroot. Their low rate of metabolism allows for a relatively long postharvest life. Thanks to their high water content, they are key ingredients for a low fat diet. This wholefood is well suited for all cooking options: grilling, mashing, roasting, frying and even in soups. Don't skimp on sunshine when growing them!
