Taylors Rocket Potatoes First Early Seed Potatoes 2Kg

The Rocket (solanum tuberosum) are a revelation to many gardeners as they produce very early crops that result in their wonderful firmness and shape that is maintained during cooking and have great resistance to blackleg, common scab and sparing. The Rocket is the perfect addition to salads due to its pure white flesh, shallow eyes and mild taste that doesn't overpower a recipe and acts as a great accompaniment to different flavourings. The Rocket takes real lift off with added salt, butter and a sprinkle of fresh mint.

Characteristics:
When To Plant: We recommend that you start chitting / sprouting seed potatoes in the third week of February. This will give them four to five weeks to develop healthy sprouts just at the time when they are ready to be planted out in late March / early April.
When To Harvest: May To June
Soil Type: Prefers well-drained and loose soil
Advice: Brilliant to grow in containers or potato bags filled with compost within approx.. 20cm (8in) from the top
Lifting before full maturity is suggested to avoid snapping the tubers
Disease Resistant: Blackleg, Common Scab, Sparing, Gold Eelworm
