- Cut back ornamental grasses.
- Plant ‘in the green’ snowdrops (with leaves!)
- Deadhead winter pansy and viola.
- Remove old stems on herbaceous perennials.
- Pot up containers with hardy spring bedding such as primroses and forget-me-nots.
- Continue to plant trees and shrubs.
- Prepare seedbeds for spring vegetable sowings.
- Chit first – early potato tubers such as ‘foremost’ by standing then in trays in a frost-free place.
