With it now being autumn and winter not so far behind now is the time to prepare your garden for the colder winter days it has ahead of it.
Get digging – Start your autumn digging before the soil gets too wet!
Ready, Set, Plant! – Plant up winter containers with pansies, violas and cyclamen.
Crop shop – Now is the time to prune any climbing roses to avoid wind damage over winter.
The delicate – Take any tender plants onto your greenhouse to help protect them from the colder weather.
Beans! – Start to sow broad bean seed. You should also finish picking any runner beans and French beans.
Apple picking – Harvest and store any of your delicious apples and pears.
Stop – Now is the time to stop feeding your plants.
